Mark Kolber

Mark Kolber is a commercial pilot, active CFI/CFII, and (retired) aviation lawyer who began flying when his wife gave him three introductory lessons for his 38th birthday. In addition to contributing to IFR Magazine, Mark has been active in online aviation forums (screen name: midlifeflyer) for decades, done live and online presentations on regulatory topics, and appears from time to time as a member of the Pilot Workshops IFR Mastery team. A large part of his work as a CFI/CFII is helping pilots with fancy new avionics learn how to use them.
