Douglas Boyd Ph.D. is a research scientist at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and publishes his research (mainly on GA safety/accidents) in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He serves on the GA Joint Safety Committee and chairs the Aerospace Medical Association Safety Committee. Douglas is an active Commercial (SMEL/IFR) pilot traversing Texas and neighboring states in a Piper Saratoga TC on missions to rescue unwanted pooches.
