Preface

Instead of being unable to contact ATC at all, let’s say that you made contact after departure at the location depicted and were instructed to “climb and maintain 6000, fly heading 180, expect direct LEB in five miles.” You lose communications while on that vector; what then? (May have multiple answers.)

1.

Fly heading 180 for five miles and then turn direct LEB

2.

Immediately turn direct LEB

3.

Maintain 6000 feet until LEB

4.

Maintain 6500 feet until LEB

5.

1 and 4. (Immediately turn direct LEB, Maintain 6500 feet until LEB)
