Preface

As you reach SHORE (at last!), you get ground contact but not the runway. You realize SHORE is only 2 DME out and you’re at 700 feet. You should:

1.

Dive and drive. Dropping 700 feet in two miles is over a 3.5-degree descent.

2.

Descend normally. This is a 3-degree-ish descent, even from 700 feet at 2 DME.

3.

Donít descend. You canít go below 700 without the airport environment in sight.

4.

Who cares? Just get this bird on the ground.
